Catching up with Adam Veiner
Affiliate Summit kicked off with a lively networking session. Affiliate Flash was there looking for the elusive super affiliates. We caught up with Adam Veiner for a few moments.
AffiliateFlash: When looking for an affiliate program, what most interests you?
Adam: I look for how flexible they are. Will they give me a landing page or keywords to test? Can you prove that your offer converts?
AffiliateFlash: What is your main method of getting traffic? Do you plan on being able to make a living off being an affiliate indefinately? Do you have your own products or other plans?
Adam: I’m a PPC affiliate (pay-per-click). It’s definitely gotten more competitive. We’re going to need better tools to manage PPC to be sure we get the maximum value. I don’t have an ebook and I have no plans to have my own products.
AffiliateFlash: Where do you find the programs you want to represent?
Adam: I usually find them on CJ (Commission Junction). It makes it easy to keep everything in one place.
AffiliateFlash: What about CPA networks?
Adam: I don’t do CPA networks, as they are a lot more noise than value from my experience.
AffiliateFlash: How do affiliate managers find you?
Adam: “I don’t answer my phones but I listen to the messages. If there’s something I really like I’ll call back.” I also use IM (AOL).
